the art of patience
so what does an avid bird nut do when trying to get some birds in flight....ignores the birds and tries to do the same with a few bee's. I dont have a macro converter so this was all with my panny fz50's 35-420 lens. Most of the shots where zoomed quite extensively. Focusing took some time to get right. This was just a bit of fun as the bee's where very curios. I sat still for about 1 hour just snapping as they came in for a closer view. In hindsight RAW might have been better here, but i was holding the shutter down for multiple shots so RAW no good on my cam! We had to have a hive relocated out of our garden last week and i suspect these are new bee's scouting a spot. Its cropped in quite tight so quality really not great. But what the hell its still a lot better than my eyes can see it.

Now even at 1000th of a sec the wings are still blurred. At 1300th some of the shots had the wings frozen a bit better but still not perfect. Which just goes to show how damn fast these wings beat
