oh, this is increadibly cute, Liam. I can't believe you discovered such a great object, an abandoned piano, in the forest. The little fairy is a surprising bonus. smile
liam beattie: yea its a goodie. Its amazing what one finds in forests these days smile Truth be told I did have some insider trading on the piano location!
absolutely beautiful image!!! i love this.
liam beattie: cheers Charles...and I loved shooting this

what an enchanting image..oh poor piano though..abandoned yet such a delight for this very sweet fairy. smile
liam beattie: Thanks Suzanne. Although it is sad that the piano had to be recommisioned the reasoning was that the owner (very eco friendly lady) couldnt bear to look at the ivory keys and rather than have it relegated to a scrapyard or sold she rather put it into her forest. They still have regular gatherings and if you run a stick over the (now rusted) strings inside one gets the most amazing haunting sounds.

The piano lives on in its new life

On her toes as if in a ballet. Excellent picture all round.
liam beattie: Hi Louis

i think Majan would like that comment. All little girls love ballet for some reason wink All the kids spent time with the piano. A really wondeful kids birthday was had by all
Excellent ! A likey !
liam beattie: woot...a likey for me too wink Thanks Zeb
What a wonderful shot! My 4 yr old, blond granddaughter wears princess clothes all the time and I can imagine this is her. I love the running shoes. Really great image!
liam beattie: we had a fleet of princesses that day smile Those running shoes peeking out are classic. Thanks Mary
Whaaaaaaat!!! Such a great subject, in such a great setting!! Wow, what an incredible shot. I love the filter you used in PP.

I would never ever abandon a delicate instrument like this in such a way, such a waste. But it makes great photos!! Well done!
liam beattie: you can imagine how i was hopping and skipping when i first saw it smile Filter is a std lightroom preset. I tend to overuse it but i just love the effect too.

must say i agree with you. Although the owners did shed a few tears over it the ivory was just too much for her to bear. Rest assured it is well visited. They have regular sundowner cocktails and musical evening around it.
This is a gem. I just love it.
liam beattie: ta bill... smile
Woww this is a beautiful photo! The fairy looks very cute..sad to see a piano in such a state.
liam beattie: thanks sandu. ah i think the piano is happy in its new role. Its surrounded by what it is created from
